So. Adventures, eh? Well, try adventuring in a monsoon. Let's go back to yesterday. I decided I wanted to get my report card, so Tennille and I got on our trekking gear [for me: Uggs, a flannel, and down vest; for her, a toque, a ski jacket and hiking sandals... practical, I know] and left for the school. We got to my school pretty easily, a few little rain showers, but we survived. We then made our way over to Tennille's school to get her report card. We passed and all that jazz, but as we were leaving it started to pour rain. Monsoon style. It continued to pour and hail as we made our way to her house, and then back to my house after my mother refused us a ride. We decided to take the 'shortcut' to my house, up a muddy cliff. We reached a fork in the trail. We didn't know which way to go, so of course, our first though 'X!', because he's the only one who takes that trail to my house. So we text him... no answer, obviously. So up we go. Turns out the trails go to the same place. We took the harder one. Yay. So we get home soaking wet and muddy, but alive, and then realize we are going to Tennille's awards ceremony in three hours. So we made chicken refried rice for dinner, and got ready. Of course X is at the awards ceremony, because life likes to make it look like I'm stalking him. I AM NOT STALKING HIM, IN FACT. His sister just happens to be in the same school as my three best friends. Not my fault. And that is why, my dear readers, I did not blog yesterday. I was busy being a drowned rat seeming-stalker. Sympathy gifts are fully accepted.
