Summer woes

Good morning everyone! [Good afternoon if it's afternoon]. It's almost that time again, isn't it. School. Ah! the dreaded word. Not actually so dreaded this year; this year is the final. The last. The end point of my high school education! So I'm actually quite looking forward to my last first day of school. [Before university that is]. So in light of the dwindling summer days, I'm going to do "back to school tips for SUCCESS!" Sounds like something you'd find in your complementary school agenda, right?

1. Don't wait until the first day to change your classes. Go in before school even starts, because you'll definitely have a better chance if you jump the line a little.

2. Don't wear your best outfit on the first day; if your school is like mine, the first day is just 2 short hours, and you don't want to get all handsome just to leave again. Wear your second best outfit the first day, and your best the second.

3. Make good first impressions, but don't suck up. Nobody likes a suck up.

4. Befriend new and exchange students before they get picked up by some less than desirables.

5. Buy at least one school supply item that will make you just downright happy when you use it. Hello Kitty pencils are my go-to cheerful maker!

6. ***Share a locker with a friend. I caution greatly on this one.

Sub rules:

I. Make sure it's a friend you're very close to.

II. Pay attention school policies regarding locker sharing.

III. Make sure they're not conducting illegal activities out of your locker.

IV. Purchase two lockers [or the equivalent at your school] just in case something goes awry. The spare is also good for storing bulky jackets, backpacks, etc.

I've decided that the sub-rules make this Ok to post in 9's. So there you have it, a few things to make your school year more enjoyable! But don't waste your last week of summer!
