This weekend was prom at my school; I didn't go since I'm not in grade 12...duh. Hahaha. Anyway, so after a week spent with all these girls getting ready I've decided a few things:
1. No fake anything--tans, nails, hair (especially hair)
2. If I have a long dress, I will not be waxing my legs. And I will have a long dress.
3. I will not do that dress-pulling-up-showing-leg picture; not because I won't have shaven my legs, but because how on earth is that endearing or flattering?!
So, in the spirit of everyone else getting to dress up and be pretty, I have found my dress for next year! My darling talented sewing mother is going to knock of some de la Renta for me. Score. So if you remember all the way back to the season premier of Gossip Girl Season 2 Summer Kind of Wonderful, and are a hardcore fashion junkie, you will of course know that Serena's Grecian goddess dress at the party is 2008 Oscar de la Renta Spring Ready To Wear...and way out of my price range. Therefore, my mum and I are going to do our best to replicate it (and make changes that I want...)!
