So I was in English today, discussing a movie to watch on Monday for our last sort of...hooray? before school is ended; and I, much to the surprise of my teacher, recommended The Lion King. He seemed to think it strange that a bunch of grade 11 students would be so interested in watching Disney movies. I have found that there are 4 stages in one's life.
First: You watch movies like that, love swallowing macaroni whole, colour with crayons, and playing with Play-Doh
Second: You are much too mature for those sorts of things
Third: You want to revisit your childhood--and refuse to do grown up things. You watch the movies you liked when you were a kid, you definitely colour with crayons, and you might swallow macaroni whole on occasion...
Four (the totally boring stage): You actually grow up. Gross.
I think I've decided, while watching The Emperor's New Groove that I don't think I want to reach stage 4... it seems like so much less fun!
I feel young again!
