Unified

What is your take on uniforms? I think that uniforms, used in a not crazy way, are not so bad. In my opinion, the place for a uniform is on a sports team, in band or choir or an organization like that, and in some work places. But there are places that take it to extremes, advising you against plucking your eyebrows, or wearing concealer. I'm pretty sure customers would rather deal with someone who is wearing a little concealer, than have that volcanic zit forming their nose bearing down upon them. I read in an article about a certain [unnamed] store that advised against bangs because they weren't part of the direction they were going in. I understand expecting employees to look suitable for work [and yes, in my mind there would be a different 'suitability' to work at a tattoo parlor, as versus a senior care facility], but I think dictating things as finite as eyebrow care and the tools in which you use to style your hair is crossing the line. Where do you think the line should be drawn?
