Revelations of sorts

Hello all! I really am sorry about the blog slacking recently. It's summer, gimme a break! I was just reading my new Gossip Girl book--the new hardcover, it's fantastic! But different...--and I had a realization: I want to make sure the next time I date, or have interactions with male folk, that the guy is truly being himself. I feel like the last two experiences with guys I've had [X and the latter] have had some serious "who are they really" issues. It makes you wonder how you'll even know if someone is really being themselves. I guess it's that element of trust that you develop; but aren't you supposed to develop that sense of trust during the 'getting to know each other' stage, when he is also trying to woo and impress you? I definitely got a lot of the 'wooing' stage in the last encounter, and I'm starting to really wonder how it would have turned out if he had just been himself, and not tried to impress so much. So my mission? Find someone who actually is themselves... it's strange that this is probably going to be a difficult task.

Mr. Owl seems to have had an 'Ah ha!' moment also...
