Hello everyone! I have a question for you:
What is beautiful?
Aesthetics are an interesting thing. It's so funny how one person can find one thing amazingly attractive, while another person could think it was the most repulsive thing on earth. And even though this is totally fact [affirmed by myself], I see people setting boundaries on what is beautiful all the time.
I'm going to revisit fashion for a second here. Fashion designers are always pushing the boundaries of "beauty". Think about it: ten years ago, if we saw what we are wearing now, we would pee ourselves! Skinny jeans?! Lulus?! Cardigans?! [Those are all pretty not exciting examples... I realize that... it's late...]
Anyway, I find it so irritating that people like teachers, who are supposed to encourage children to grow into who they really are, stifle creativity, and self expression. [Now I sound like a granola, rights?!]. So often the excuse is:
It distracts the other children
Well, if clothes can distract someone that deeply from a class, maybe your lectures need to be more interesting.
