Oh hello again! I always feel goofy saying hi if I've just posted something else... anyway:
I've had a thought! Well I had it a few days ago in English [where all the best thoughts occur.]
People spend too much time waiting for milestones, which causes them to miss out on little moments. The enchanted moments.
People look forward to things like prom, their wedding, their first child, their second child, their first promotion [pretty much anything your Sims do and get a little uncontrollable movie for, but I feel like people look forward so much that while they're waiting for the blinding sunlight, they're forgetting all about the little glints of light.
For example: today in musical I spent a good ten minutes watching the accidental slapstick comedy going on in downtime on stage. It was one of the most amusing moments of my day, week, month, possibly life; but it wasn't something huge and significant. It's little, every day things that fill out your life, so don't forget to live each day to the fullest and not let one minute slip away.
I actually wrote a poem about the enchanted moments... so I'm going to post it in this! I hope you like it!
The world will continue,
and the bitter sweet yellow
Might start to seep in.
If we save the enchanted moment
The last laugh
The little linger
We'll save the smile,
The widened eyes,
The second of surprise.
The enchanted moment is
A moment.
No longer,no less.
It flickers and fades
Like a lick of flame
That seems to die
But suddenly kindles to
A roaring blaze
That leaves you blinking colours
For many moments after.
