I have had the privilege of being best friends with two of the most beautiful women in the world; and today I want to remind the world how important friendship is!
I met Tennille when we were small and skiing. We'd spend every day on the chairlift creating our dream chairlift. It turned into more of a chair-chalet-lift after a season of minus twenty weather. We re-met in high school, where we became closer than ever. She's the only teenager I know that fights to get healthy food for her family, and she's got to be one of the more responsible people [out of all people, adults included] that I know. She's also gawwwwgeous, which is quite handy, even when she doesn't shower for 5 days...
Amanda is actually the sun. She gives off this magnificent life that I am surprised hasn't blinded more people. My first recollection of her was "Oh my god, that girl says 'chicken' a lot...". That turned into, "Ugh, why does that girl have to like the guy I like?!". That then turned into "Oh my lanta, what would I do without her?" She's an unconditional lover, and I will marry her if I get the chance--she's the only person I could stand for 50 years.
Both of these friendships are more important to me than water. Well... metaphorically speaking--I'd die without water...
I think it's so important for everyone to have at least one friend that they know they can tell anything, anything at all, and they'll still love you. I used to think that I'd be all set once I got a boyfriend, but I've come to realize [over the course of a few failed relationships] that I would be perfectly fine with just having my ladies [although I do enjoy having someone special to gossip about with the girls]. So I want to stress again:
Friends are important. Don't let anyone drag you away from them, because they're the ones that will keep coming back, and will always take you back.
And to my Pandabear and Nille, I love you forever <3 Thanks for keeping me moderately sane (But only when entirely necessary!) and not hating me because I hate the occasional person... You're not number one. You're number one in a million. There are no other people out there like you!
