Knowledge is...well it's not power

So I found out something knew. It turns out, when someone says something, or promises something, it's perfectly acceptable not to carry through! Such a relief, because now I don't have to carry anything through since it's totally OK to do that! Unfortunately, because of this, I'm out one particularly comfy sweater.
