In light of my horribly non-productive day yesterday, I vowed to make today productive, and in doing so, I came up with a new theory. I will explain to you first, how I made today productive. I made a to-do list; now before you get all "well oooobviously, Elizabeth, to-do lists have been around for ages", let me explain. On my list, I wrote down a couple things that actually needed to get done [patching my pants, and grocery shopping], but more things that I just generally wanted to do [read three books, watch the sixth Harry Potter movie, work on my mum's painting, etc.] which made doing the less fun things on the list better, and making my day feel more accomplished because I planned on doing those things. I also made sure to give myself a while to do them. A week, in fact, so I don't feel pressured to do a whole ton of things at once. My day feels 100% more productive than usual! I like this plan.
