Barter this shoe lady

Saturday, November 13, 2010

Hey everyone! So today I went on an excursion with my darling mum to all of our town's clothing stores. All three. Wow. And get this:

My mother actually BARGAINED.

I was so impressed. She managed to get 40% off on a pair of boots [although this might have been because the evil shoe lady thought and said that I was a boy...] I'm considering trying this from now on.

Other than the wonderful bartering, I [re]learned something:

Men's clothes are always on better sales.

I have no idea why this is, but I can always get way cheaper mens clothing than women's. Which is super handy, because 80% of my clothing is mens. I actually got a girl's shirt today. But for those of you that know me personally: don't worry, it's a large. I also did get a man t-shirt for $8! Original $20. Not bad. My father says that I should carry on wearing what I've been wearing for the past three days: scarves, big t-shirts/layery sweaters and stuff and jeans. I am thinking he is right, being as though it's a super practical [read: warm] way of dressing. And practicality is key.
