The Little Things

There are very few things in life that give me as much joy as an evening walk in the city. My particular neighbourhood, I don't want to boast or anything, is sort of the best neighbourhood for said walks. It has those really super tall trees that make it like Narnia as you're passing through, and views of the ocean, and downtown with all it's tall buildings, and these cute little houses that are just so nice to walk by.

I don't know what it is about these walks... something about the warm air, and the calmness of the evening with all the nice middle aged people walking their dogs, and coupley people being all in love, and just everything nice about summer. And the other great thing about summer? It's not raining, so when you take pictures of all the pretty, your picture-taker doesn't get wet. How bonus is that?

This here is the hobbit house. I'm pretty sure that it is magical, because I can only find it when I'm not looking for it. Sort of like the Room of Requirement in Harry Potter. If I was a hobbit, or myself, I'd live here.

This here is just a lovely view of the city. The photo doesn't do it justice, but looking out over the bay, and downtown, well, it's quite breathtaking.

These trees are honestly my favourite part of coming here. You drive along these streets with these huge trees that make like, a pretty canopy of sparkly green leaves, and you suddenly emerge from them into this bustling little neighbourhood. I just love it! It's literally like going through some magic Narnia thing, and coming out in a totally different place.

Best thing about these things I love in the neighbourhood? I get to go to school here, and live here permanently for the next three years, at least
